Welcome back to my blog.
How are my beautiful greeny apples doing today? It’s just few hours to a new month and I know we all are hoping for something really amazing this new month.
I think one of the things I’m going to be trying my hands on will be pastries. When I mean getting my hands, I meant learning how to make/bake them and also eating a whole lot of them.

During my birthday this year, I ordered a small chocolate loaf cake online and mind you, I don’t eat cake for some weird reasons that I don’t even know. The same thing goes for chocolate except bounty but I have to literally remove the chocolate layer covering the coconut inside the bounty before eating though and this doesn’t make me a hypocrite. I wouldn’t know exactly if it does.
So back to my last birthday ordering, I saw cinnamon rolls on her menu list and decided to give it a try. It came in a fancy little box and has about 10 rolls inside. What attracted me to this pastry was the cream on top and how fluffy and soft they look from the picture. I almost didn’t order it because of the little chocolate I thought I saw on it.

When I got my order, first thing I tasted was the cinnamon rolls and I didn’t like it at first. The taste wasn’t something I liked at all but later, I started getting used to the taste. I ordered from another baker sometimes later and I actually loved how she made hers.
I knew about pastries before but it’s not something I ever thought I would really appreciate. Honestly what we eat here and call snacks or pastries while growing up wasn’t all that till I tried what pastries are for real.
Another pastry that I actually got used to the taste and really liked it till now is, Sausage Roll.
The story behind this is quite the same with the cinnamon roll except, I didn’t order this on my birthday. The first time I ate Sausage roll, I hated it so much. It tasted like just flour, salty and I could literally smell the fish immediately. Don’t get me wrong, I love fish so much and I can remember I mentioned been a pescatarian but that doesn’t mean I want to smell the raw fish in my pastry.

I recently tasted sausage roll from a baker and I must say, it was amazing. So soft, fresh and really nice. The one thing that had me loving this particular one was that, she added hot dog and I just fell in love with it.
Even though she added spice which didn’t agree with my stomach, I gave it 8 out of 10.
The next one that happens to be my all time favorite is Samosa and Spring roll. I don’t know if they can be called pastry but I’m adding them. I could eat a big bowl of these two and never get tired of eating them.
