Happy weekend my apples and how is everyone doing out there?
It’s been raining heavily here in lagos for weeks now. It’s rainy season here and the it’s been really heavy but then I’m enjoying it today as it is in a weekend.
Today is the third day of my 30 days writing challenge. Kindly check out my previous posts for day one and two. I’m loving the daily quests so far and today I going to be writing about my top 3 pet peeves.
So if you actually went on Google to check the meaning of pet peeves, don’t be embarrassed as your secret is safe with me because I actually checked as well. I have actually heard the words pet peeves and as a blogger it’s a common word but I never really paid much attention to checking out the meaning. We learn everyday though.
A pet peeve is a particular thing that bugs you every time. If your pet peeve is how people misuse words, you’re in the right place. A peeve is an annoyance, and a pet peeve is an annoyance that’s nurtured like a pet — it’s something someone can never resist complaining about.
I’m very sure I find more than three things annoying and irritating but I’m a very tolerable person. When I talk about it the first time or few times and you ignore or make me look like I’m complaining, I will just let it go and try to get my mind off it.
Here are my top 3 pet peeves. Mind you, I don’t dislike the person. It’s just that particle thing I have problem with. Sometimes, when you find somethings irritable in a person, the manner and approach you tell them about it should matter to you. The way you accept corrections or criticism, others might find it very offending.
MY TOP 3 PET PEEVES
1. CHEWING LOUDLY
I find this very irritable and annoying. I’m sorry but it’s just how I feel. I don’t like when I hear the sound of spoon hitting you teeth or the sound of your tongue licking the spoon or moaning loudly when you find you food delicious. I become very uncomfortable and the truth is, I always find it difficult to say anything to such person because I don’t want to hurt their feelings.
2. FEET DRAGGING/SHOE CLANKING
This irks me like crazy. Why drag your feet on the floor while walking? You shoes already have ridiculous inches, why deliberately make that sound with it? I know most times the type of floor like tiles or marble or metals can actually caused this sound and mostly you have no choice but I dislike this sound so much. Dragging of feet especially when you have flop on jeez, that is torture.

3. PEOPLE WHO TURNS EVERYTHING INTO A COMPETITION | ABOUT THEMSELVES
I have a bad headache and I’m telling. You don’t need to tell me how your headache was terrible lastweek and make me feel like I’m a shitty person because I was not there and neither did you tell me. I’m broke. Haa my sister, you are not as broke as me o. It is well o. Shey you still have data to tell me you are broke, right now I’m using church’s wifi. Okay why? People who talks about themselves a lot and when it’s for you to talk, they still want to be in the spotlight and make it about themselves.
Oh don’t get me wrong, it is fine to make references to things that has happened to you in the past to someone but it when they are really going through major crisis. Ask yourself what that information is going to solve at that particular time?
These are my Top 3 Pet peeves. What are yours?
I’ll be waiting on your comments
