Welcome back to my blog and it’s Friyay and for a mom like me, everyday it’s the same except I get to watch old series om fridays 😁😁.
What will you be doing this night for Friday fun night?
On today’s post, I will be talking and also asking about the stage of motherhood that was/is the most difficult for you.
Every stages of motherhood has it’s own struggles, challenges and also fun moments as it gives us the Joy and opportunity of creating moments and memories that will get to share with our babies for ever. So, before I get deep into this post, I’ll mention the seven important stages of motherhood.
7 STAGES OF MOTHERHOOD
- Pregnancy Stage
- Delivery/Birth Stage
- Breastfeeding Stage
- Sleeping Stage
- Crawling and Walking Stage
- The weaning stage
- The talking stage
Let’s take these stages one after the other and at the end I will tell you the most difficult one(s)for me.
The pregnancy stage: I actually had a little tough pregnancy Journey. Emotionally I wasn’t in the best place. I was very huge and last trimester was very difficult due to the fact that I couldn’t do much things especially wearing my panties, sandals and the snail speed at which I do things. In all, i actually loved some special treatments i got during pregnancy.
Delivery/Birth Stage: This would always be the most important day in my life and I’ll forget it. As a CS mom, I understood the opportunity of choosing an option to save both mine and my daughter’s life. You can read my birth story using this link right here. https://labakeblog.com/2019/10/31/motherhood-love-life-the-stereotype-of-a-cs-mother/
Breastfeeding Stage: I’m actually going to say this wasn’t an easy stage for me at all. My daughter loves breastmilk more than anything. The soreness, the biting, the constant feeding but hey, the joy of feeding a tiny being from my body was amazing. She clocked a year few weeks ago, I don’t think she is still coming to terms that weaning is a thing for her.
Sleeping Stage: The first three months were the one of the most difficult stage for me. Some nights I cried, I prayed to God, I get frustrated but now sometimes I’m the one getting worried that she sleeps too much. Can you imagine the irony? 😁😁
Crawling and Walking stage: Let’s just for a mom like me that doesn’t own a washing machine well, you all know the story right now. The constant looking for a baby crawling into every corner of my small apartment or the constant running around well, this is the best form of exercise minus the constant wrist pains from washing about 10 onies weekly.
Weaning Stage: let’s just say for the past 12 months and three weeks, my breasts are no longer mine. I think sometimes these tiny humans only use us for our breast 🤣🤣. I’m grateful that my daughter introduced herself to solid and other food because she just totally forget about breastmilk unless we count once or twice a day she just deep her hand inside my blouse to check if they are still there or just have a little taste.
Walking stage: well, this is my current situation now. As I am writing this post, tiny human is currently in her cot screaming because i wouldn’t let her come down to her electrical work for me. The struggle to wear clothes or the marathon we run whenever it’s time to feed. Somehow she find feeding, bathing, clothing wearing her favorite running time.
So if you ask me now which stage was/is the most difficult for me. Healing stage after my CS procedure which I would put under Delivery/Birth stage, Sleeping stage for the first three months. Every stages has advantages and disadvantages but the strength we have as a mother is just awesome and beautiful.
So mama which is the most difficult stage of motherhood for you and how did you get through it? You might be helping a mother out.
