Welcome back to my blog. Its day 10 of my blogmas post of 2019 edition. I missed day 8 and 9. Do not worry, I will make it up to you all.

On this post, I’m going to be hyping makeup/beauty brands in Nigeria.

The beauty industry encompasses sales of cosmetics, perfume, and products for skin and hair care. Beauty salons and spas are considered the service sector of the beauty industry. On this post, I will just concentrate on the makeup aspect of the beauty industry in Nigeria.

These brands are no longer what they used to be 5 years back. They brought in their A game, they have really improved by rebranding, repackaging and also introducing new improved and quality products. Without any further delay, here are the top 14 brands that are making waves in Nigeria and africa at large.

It is the first indigenous makeup brand in Nigeria, which was founded in 1998 so we accord it its respect by placing its name first. House of Tara is known for its quality and as a pacesetter in the Nigerian cosmetics industry. It is the most popular Nigerian and African makeup brand. Owned by Tara Fela-Durotoye, this makeup brand has waxed even stronger through the years. House of Tara, started the first makeup school and studio in Nigeria in 2004. Known for their spectacular quality, BMPro Makeup products have become a must have for every African lady. Their products range from lips products to powders, foundations, concealers and many more.


This makeup brand was established in 2011. It has released a wide variety of products with exceptional quality. With so many shots and outlets all over the Nigeria and Africa, Zaron cosmetics has taken its place in the beauty industry. Zaron cosmetics are Best known for their lip products and powders.


This brand was formed by the duo Hegai and Esther. They started by launching an eyebrow cream some years ago. Sfter the successful lunch of their eyebrow cream, they came back heavily into the makeup scene with other products such as their foundation, powder, contour kits, eye shadow, and so much more.

This is also one of the newest and most and Nigerian indigenous makeup brands. Owned by a UK raised Nigerian Vanessa Onwughalu, their liquid lipstick was featured on dupe that’s Instagram page, one of the world’s leading social media beauty influencers. Taos Cosmetics currently owns a large range of matte and metallic lip creams as well as a glow kit, eye shadows etc.


you haven’t heard of the hash #Browlution? This makeup brand officially launched in 2017 and has more than stolen people’s hearts and is quickly becoming everyone’s favorite. They have a large range of products. They also have a range of matte and metallic lip creams as well as their very own eyebrow product called Browlution.


Kayge Cosmetics is a Nigerian brand that focuses mainly on lip products. Their line of lipsticks, lip liners, lip balms etc. are of very good quality.


It was founded by Stella Ndekile, a Lagos based Medical Laboratory Scientist and part-time makeup artist/ makeup enthusiast. artist, Jane Ogu, popularly known as Flawless Faces by Jane. Nuban beauty is a startup mainly known for their amazing pro blending sponges which are a flawless dupe to the original beauty blender. They also have eye shadow palettes which have been trending recently.


Prestige cosmetics is gradually making a name for itself. With a huge array of products to choose from, they’ve got something for everyone.

Kuddy Cosmetics is one of the few indigenous makeup brands made in Nigeria that took everyone by surprise. they produce foundations. The also produce setting powders, lip products and hair products.


Hush Beauty, provides a wide range of makeup brands and kits at low prices. Makeup ranging from foundations, mascaras, eye liners, etc.
