Poem | THIS NIGHT WILL PASS

Read Time:39 Second

I always dream when I’m awake

I saw the mirror showing me ‘we are far from gorgeous’
I questioned myself but this feeling is consuming

We are thrown into despair but how we feel is not how we look
I can smell you from a thousand miles away
You lied to me in meager doses

But i still want to kiss your lips even when i don’t know where it’s been.

You walked away but i begged you to leave my mirage of happiness
I live in fear of loosing myself because I’m damaged at heart

Truth is, I’m a mess of unsolved
But i want to learn to be a proper friend to myself…
